1. Who We Are

indieshipped (“indieshipped”, “we”, “us”) operates the website at indieshipped.com. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and us and govern your use of the site.

By using indieshipped you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What indieshipped Is

indieshipped is a curated listing service for software products. Founders and developers submit a product they have built. Our team reviews each submission and, if approved, publishes it as a listing page on a scheduled launch date, where it remains in our directory.

indieshipped is not a marketplace. We do not host third-party sellers, nothing is bought or sold between users through the site, and we make no payouts to users. The only payment we accept is for the optional paid upgrade described in section 7.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

Age. You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is lower, to create an account.

Accounts. Accounts are created by signing in with Google. You are responsible for the security of the Google account you use and for activity carried out under your indieshipped account.

Accuracy. You agree that the information you give us about yourself and about any product you submit is accurate and that you are entitled to submit it.

4. Submitting a Listing

Review is required. A submission is not published when you send it. It is created in a pending state and becomes publicly visible only if our team approves it. We may reject a submission, or remove a published listing, at our discretion.

No guarantee of publication. Approval is editorial and discretionary. Neither a free submission nor a paid upgrade guarantees that your product will be published, or published on any particular date.

Editing. Before a listing's scheduled launch date you may amend its description and category. The product name, website URL and logo are fixed at submission. Once a listing goes live it becomes read-only to you; contact us for any later change.

No outcome guarantees. We do not promise any level of traffic, visibility, ranking, search performance, sign-ups, or revenue arising from a listing.

5. Acceptable Use

When using indieshipped, you agree not to:

• Post content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, or infringes others' rights
• Submit a product you do not own or are not authorised to represent
• Misrepresent yourself, your product, or your affiliation with anyone
• Manipulate upvotes, reviews, or rankings, including through multiple accounts
• Interfere with the operation or security of the platform
• Scrape or collect other users' data without permission

6. Your Content

Ownership. You keep ownership of everything you submit — listings, comments, images and profile details.

Licence to us. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content on indieshipped and to promote it on our own channels, for as long as your listing remains published.

AI-assisted editing. We may use automated tools, including AI services, to help draft, reformat, summarise or improve the readability of listing descriptions. If you use our autofill feature, the public content of the website URL you supply is sent to an AI provider to generate a draft. You remain responsible for the final published text, and you can edit it before launch.

Removal. We may remove content that we believe breaches these Terms or could harm the platform, its users or third parties.

7. Paid Services

Priority Listing — $5.99, one-time. An optional upgrade that gives a submission expedited review and scheduling ahead of the free queue, prominent placement on the site, and inclusion in our weekly curated selection.

Prices are shown before you confirm payment and exclude tax unless stated. We sell no subscriptions and there is no recurring billing. The upgrade applies to the single submission it was bought for and is not transferable between products.

The paid upgrade affects priority and placement only. It does not purchase approval: a paid submission is still reviewed, and if we reject it you are refunded in full.

8. Payments and Merchant of Record

Polar is our merchant of record. Payments are sold and processed by Polar Software Inc. (“Polar”), which acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller for every purchase made on indieshipped. When you buy a paid upgrade, your purchase contract for that transaction is with Polar, not with us.

Polar is responsible for processing the payment, calculating and remitting any applicable VAT, sales tax or equivalent, and issuing your receipt or invoice. Your payment will appear on your statement as a charge from Polar. Polar's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself and are available at polar.sh.

We never receive or store your card or bank details. We receive only confirmation that an order succeeded, together with your name, email address and the country used for tax purposes.

9. Right of Withdrawal and Refunds

Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK. You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services. Because a Priority Listing is performed immediately — your submission enters expedited review as soon as payment clears — you are asked at checkout to expressly request immediate performance and to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you have not given that consent, or the service has not yet been fully performed, you keep your withdrawal right for the remainder of the 14 days.

Refunds we give in any case. We refund you in full if we reject your submission, if we cannot publish your listing, or if you were charged in error.

Otherwise. Once a paid listing has been reviewed and scheduled the service is fully performed, and fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Refunds are issued through Polar to the original payment method. To request one, contact us at [email protected] and we will handle it with Polar on your behalf.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use harms the platform or other users. Where it is proportionate and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Published listings may remain online as part of our historical directory record, with author attribution removed on request.

11. Third-Party Links

Listings link to third-party websites and products. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, security, policies or practices. Your dealings with any third party are solely between you and them.

12. Intellectual Property

The indieshipped name, design, layout and software are ours or our licensors' and may not be copied, modified or redistributed without permission. Content submitted by users remains theirs, as set out in section 6.

13. Disclaimers

indieshipped is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of content posted by users or third parties. Nothing here excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the paid service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will give reasonable notice, by email or a notice on the site, before it takes effect. Continuing to use indieshipped after that means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of [COUNTRY], and the courts of [COUNTRY] have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.

Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. We will always try to resolve a complaint directly first.
